WPGA is the governing body of women’s professional golf in South Africa.
Our purpose is to promote and advance interest in the game of golf while providing opportunities for women professionals in teaching, tournament play and golfing in general. The WPGA works with partner organisations in managing women’s professional golf events and the Women’s Tour. Our partnership with the Sunshine Tour resulted in the successful launch of the Sunshine Ladies Tour in 2014.

Formed in 2004 and based in St Andrews, The R&A engages in and supports activities undertaken for the benefit of the sport of golf. Despite deriving its name from the members’ golf club, The R&A is separate and distinct from The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews.
